Respiratory muscle training
Important notice: This feature is not yet part of the IntegraMouse AIR and is currently unavailable. It's still in development – there's no fixed release date yet.
Respiratory muscle training is especially important for people with spinal cord injuries: injuries to the cervical spine in particular can affect the nerves that control the respiratory muscles, reducing breathing capacity and increasing the risk of respiratory infections and pneumonia. Studies show that targeted training of the respiratory muscles improves lung function and breathing strength, and increases quality of life.
That's why the IntegraMouse AIR is set to become more than just an input device in future – offering an independent, motivating way to access scientifically grounded respiratory muscle training.
